Sacraments

The sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us.

The human person is both body and soul; physical and spiritual.  Divine realities, on earth, are almost always communicated through the physical.  God himself becomes physical in becoming a man, Jesus Christ, to communicate himself most fully to humanity.  Christ founded the Church and instituted the sacraments to continue to communicate His Divine Life in our lives in very physical, tangible, concrete forms.  Below are the Seven Sacraments of the Church.  Click on the buttons below to learn more about the sacraments and how they are offered at Saint Bernard
